Norway, Gudbrandsdalen, Trip From Otta to Lom, 4k

The Gudbrandsdalen valley is surrounded by picturesque mountain landscapes. The landscape in the valley is constantly changing and often imposing mountains replace low hills, and narrow gorges with stormy rivers change into wide lakes.

The valley is familiar to many in the summer, but how is it there in the winter?

We offer you a January walk with us from the city of Otta to the city of Lom.
We were driving along the Rv15 road through the Ottadalen valley, and suddenly we saw some tiny dots on a frozen waterfall Jukulbekken and it turned out that they were people! Brave winter climbers! A very unusual and mesmerizing sight!

Then we moved along the river Otta and visited the Eidefossen kraftverk, Hydroelectric Power Station. We will definitely come back here in the spring when the river is full-flowing!

Then we stopped near the town of Lalm and admired the beautiful rifts of the river and the island!
And, as always, we walked along the Neset bru bridge, where the Finna river flows and the color of the water is bright even in winter!

The valley became very wide near the city of Vågåmo, and the color of the ice in Lake Vågåvatnet was pleasing to the eye!

We completed our walk in the city of Lom, walking around the ancient stave church Lom stavkyrkje. The weather changed, clouds wandered through the gorge, either tightly covering the sky, or letting the sun's rays through the clouds, but on the way back the sunset pleased us!
